My name is Jesus I am the lord's son. I know more than anyone could ever tell, just ask my dad. [Mar. 5th, 2006|11:47 pm]
GUNS! GUNS! BITCHES!

So the other day Madeline and I rediscovered a forgotten notebook in my apartment and I found some lyrics to a song I wrote to a surf like melody. (I know this isn't the first draft though because the first draft had a line involving Ian's tendency to remove his pants at parties.)

bring all your cats and dogs
we're doing the bat like frogs
Ichi's got jammies on
we wish you could come a long

Some movie ideas me and Devin wrote one late night at Denny's or something like that.

-Guy who becomes obsessed with bag lady
-man, secret society, and possible alien conspiracy
-guy with a secret knack for trash
- a lonely guy builds himself a robot companion because he hates working at livebridge

The english translation to a speech I presented to my Japanese class 3 years ago (Devin was my assistant).

Good morning. My name is Jonathan. Devin is American. Over there is a clock. It is now 8 o'clock. That is a bag. Octopus please. This is an octopus. Pen Please. This is a pen. Umbrella please. This is an umbrella. Book please. NO! This is a shoe. Yes, this is a book. Thank you.

And another one.

Good morning. I am in front off the class. There is a box here. There is a pencil inside the box. The pencil is in front of the box. The pencil is behind the box. The pencil is beside the box. We are all on the earth.

There's a lot more too: lots of funny drawings Devin, Madeline, and I did. Some notes Devin took while job searching. Notes I took while in classes. Goofy things Madeline wrote. More and more and more again
.

I wish I had a scanner.

Rock but Don't Break the Glass [Feb. 21st, 2006|10:24 pm]
[music |Bob Hund - Horlurar]

I just bought over 150 1.8mL vials off of ebay.. why?... it's a secret.. no its not but you never asked, so I won't tell.

Other than that, I've been listening to a lot of Swedish rock 'n' roll obscurity. Namely Bob Hund. I can't get enough Bob Hund... and Bo Kaspers Orkester seems promising, maybe the Wannadies are good too.

My Best and Worst Music of 2005 List [Jan. 3rd, 2006|04:05 am]
I only listened to two albums released in 2005, because of this and because I can't sleep I thought it would be appropriate for me to create my own best and worst music of 2005 lists.

In no particular order, here it is. )

I made a song today [Dec. 28th, 2005|03:32 am]
I made this song today and am interested in hearing what people think of it. It's a little bit Specter, a little bit Beach Boys, a little bit Lennon, a little bit whatever else.

"Love Ain't No Reason"... it's a bit of rock ballad/waltz. Watch out for the wacky ending. I spent 10 hours straight today making this song.

xoxo,

Jonathan

p.s.- Don't forget, If you can't stream this song you can always download them and listen to them whenever you wish.

I have nearly abandoned my ever faithful livejournal for this http://blog.myspace.com/i_eat_ants

It's not because I think it's better, it's just that I know more people personally who will actually respond there.

Buut.. I don't want my livejournal to die because it's been there when I've needed it most.. and to keep up with recent livejournal traditions I have decided to poke fun at my French professor and French in general one more time...

So she sent me and bunch of other people with e-mail addresses like "fairykisses2you@aol.com", "onesmartcookie45@msn.com", "rainbowkidd20@yahoo.com", "ICECREAMSUPERNOVA@YAHOO.COM"... etc.. etc.. etc.. an e-mail urging us to enroll in classes that if not properly stocked will soon be canceled.

To this I will reply with a simple, "ha ha!"

It's good to know that you have a difficult time encouraging students to take French 102.. and really... if I wasn't stuck I'd be right beside all of those kids who decided that one quarter of french was all they could stomach... and to them.. I salute you for a job well done.

LALALALALLAaa lala lala [Dec. 14th, 2005|11:29 pm]
Think About Your Troubles by Harry Nilsson

Sit beside the breakfast table

Think about your troubles

Pour yourself a cup of tea

And think about the bubbles

You can take your teardrops

And drop them in a teacup

Take them down to the riverside

And throw them over the side

To be swept up by a current

And taken to the ocean

To be eaten by some fishes

Who were eaten by some fishes

And swallowed by a whale

Who grew so old

He decomposed

He died and left his body

To the bottom of the ocean

Now everybody knows

That when a body decomposes

The basic elements

Are given back to the ocean

And the sea does what it oughta

And soon there's salty water

(That's not too good for drinking)

'Cause it tastes just like a teardrop

(So they run it through a filter)

And it comes out from a faucet

(And is poured into a teapot)

Which is just about to bubble

Now think about your troubles

"So this is christmas"

awwww... I'm at work... all dressed up and ready to hear people's sob stories... awww how cute.

Yep thats me.. the kid behind that counter thing.. staring at his super computer plasma screen.. the one with the eyes puffy falling out of head... hair greased down... week old pubescent facial hair just barely visible in a certain kind of light.. almost a sparkly beard of stars.. not a care in the world.. why?.. cause I'm tired.. why? cause I woke up at 1pm... why? cause I went to bed at 4am but couldn't fall asleep until about the time when I was supposed to wake up for my japanese class and go but didn't .. and then I was quickly awakened....

oh wait man, hold the boat I'm supposed to be on break 30 minutes ago.. I'll be back...

Okay so anyways I'm back..

so I finally fell asleep apparently.. because the sonic quake from all four of my alarm clocks woke all my room mates up... and in the chaos my friend Joey built up such a furry.. that he actually woke me up.. scared me half to death.. yelling something along the lines of "What the fuck?" I don't know I was sort of asleep but kind of awake.. he was pissed though.. and he nearly destroyed one of my alarm clocks... worst of all he made me feel bad.. which maybe I deserved for playing 7am DJ alarm clock war all through the house..but anyways, he didn't destroy them all because after he left I was left to rest to the sound of Lou Reed crooning "Pale Blue eyes"...

I don't know how to describe the experience because the whole time I think I was in some sort of hypnagogia.. don't know if thats how you spell it.. that state of mind right before you fall into deep sleep.. kinda like dreaming.. anyways..

I wasn't sure if this all happened until Mark and AJ where talking to me about it before I went to work.. I don't know whats up with Joey, I mean Mark said it pretty well when he said that it was like nothing he had ever heard before, like in a positive way... I was performing.. it's all about timing... there is a succession of 4 alarms... first it starts off with Komeda track one off of "What makes it go?" then a couple minutes later the velvet underground self titled starts playing out of another alarm clock.. all we have left is.. beeps and rings.. at 7:10.. starts the electronic beeps.. 5 minutes later my oldschool clock rings.. and thats the climax.. it's a beautiful harmony.. only I still don't wake up.. the question right now is... is that art?.. teehee... of course it is silly!
SO much wasted potential.

so anyways I gotta go to lunch I got some tacos I bought out of a school bus to go put in my head...

wo fire men... dude man airports are wild little places

I hope this kid standing in front of me is treated well.. kid looks almost as out of it as myself

Pun Intended [Dec. 9th, 2005|06:46 pm]

I just received a junk e-mail with the subject line "Cockatoo Secretary", it sounds to me like an hilarious movie voiced over by Eddie Murphy and co-staring Woopie Goldberg as they take the business world by the tailfeathers.

Look up! It's the SKY! [Dec. 3rd, 2005|04:18 pm]
Now a lot of people may bitch about this Seattle weather, myself included, but I must say that Seattle has some of the most incredible clouds in the sky right now. Clouds like great gods or great battleships or great mountains, I don't know what they are exactly but "great" is what they all have in common. If you haven't noticed, you've still got a few more minutes to. So, I would suggest a long look before it becomes too dark.

I have to apologize to anyone who read my last post because while reading it again I realized how much I sounded like an hypocritical asshole and it was intended to be a reply to Ian's last post and is now in it's proper place. If you really are interested read Ian's livejournal but I will warn you that I was a little high strung while I wrote it and I still feel sick from the coffee.

Je deteste la francais. [Nov. 23rd, 2005|10:52 am]
I am a bitch and a liar. I'll lie and be a bitch because my french professor doesn't need the truth. But this is your chance to know the truth TEACH, that's right read this and you'll know that when I tell you I've been working graveyard shifts and missed the exam today because thanksgiving week is a crazy time at the old grocery store that it will be a lie. I'm warning you now. If you care about my lie when I talk to you in two hours you'll call me on it because I gave you fair warning in my livejournal. If you say nothing and accept my challenge and let me take the exam in place of my chemistry class then that's your choice not mine. Oh so you say you don't read my livejournal? Yeah right teach. By the way TEACH I hate the french language, that's right, HATE it, and you know what else? I hate your class but to be fair I like your little french cover band.

"Coffe and She/He?"

Today has the makings of a good day only by default and not actually because it has earned the merit... yet. The reason? I have 3 days off and thanksgiving is one of those. I havn't had 3 days off for awhile. I feel like a child on the last day of school before summer vacation. I had to come to work early today. I woke up and got out of bed early, made some coffee, and chomped on some pop tarts. I feel better for having done more than drag myself out of bed, put water in my hair and run to the bus. I even had time to take a shower and listen to Neu while sweeping the leaves off of my porch. I felt very domestic and accomplished. Chris came and picked me up. Ichi wouldn't come inside this morning (it was sunny and she was sitting on the neighbors porch mocking me and sniffing the neighbors cat's smells)They have a big white cat and a bigger headed maybe just as fat black cat both inside alternately staring at me then Ichi as if to say,"Scum!" Anyways, Chris came and picked me up and we listened to the Beach boys Smiley smile and half of Wild Honey. Good stuff. So anyways we get to the work and Chris realizes he forgot his work shirt, luckily someone else left an extra one on the coat rack... problem: It's huge he looks like David Bryne in Stop Making sense with the giant suit(see picture below) Further more, that's work and that's my day I'm excited to say hello to Madeline tonight. We have plans for a thanksgiving eve dinner, I'm excited to eat cranberry sauce from a can (my mom tends to make it fresh and it's just not the same.. good.. but no jello like consistency.)

my only bad news is that my sinuses and throat are dry and a I have a gnarly case of post coffee jitters. One more thing, I saw "shim" today. I think shim is a she but they have every mannerism that a man has and it wears big 80s suits like David bowie. Old looking and with a mullet. I don't know what her job is except that she wears a badge, talks to people, and smokes cigarettes. I think she's important though because she's always looking down on people, but maybe that's just because she's taller than everyone else. It's been a long time since I've seen her but I feel more comfortable knowing that she's around. The world really does need people like her in order to continue turning.
